There’s only one question to ask after you’ve read this headline: Does Dubai have an extradition treaty with the United States?

Actually, there are many more questions: How many Americans will lose their jobs in this move? Will Halliburton still proclaim itself to be an American company? How many millions of tax dollars will the new, foreign-based Halliburton be able to avoid paying to a U.S. government that’s already enriched the company so handsomely with those jillions in profligate, no-bid, cost-plus sweetheart contracts from the Iraq war? Will the move permit further fiddling with employees’ retirement benefits? And how much more will Halliburton stockholders have to pay for the postage to send Dick Cheney’s huge checks all the way from Dubai to his secure undisclosed location du jour?

Halliburton’s honchos just did Jacko one better: they’re moving to Dubai before the indictments.
