| It's always election season in Los Angeles. On March 3, voters decided to stick with Antonio Villaraigosa for Mayor and Wendy Greuel for city controller. Angelenos also cast their ballots for more than half the City Council and elected members to the school board and Community College Board. The choice for city attorney will be decided by the May 19 election: it's down to current city councilman Jack Weiss and opponent Carmen Trutanich. That election also features six ballot measures, most of which are supported by the LA Times' editorial board. | DEADLINES: Register to vote by May 4 for the May 19 statewide special elections. The same registration date applies for the congressional and senate elections that day in the 26th and 32nd districts. Register by June 29 for the congressional election on July 14 (district 32). |
