Tuba theft threat level [Ted Rall cartoon]

CartoonCartoonist Ted Rall comments on the rash of tuba thefts at Southland high schools in Wednesday pages. Jokes aside, the thefts have called attention to a growing demand for these expensive brass instruments on the black market. And it's left some music programs hobbling, which might not sound so bad until you consider the that teaching creativity and the arts often leads to economic benefits.
