Getting their messages out: Polls, wars and economic woes notwithstanding, it’s official. Barack H. Obama wants to be the Democratic standard-bearer. (All stand for ‘Hail to the Chief,’ please.) But Tom Toles can’t stand the president’s inconsistencies. After some budget grandstanding, the family values clan gets a substandard portrait from Clay Bennett. And Matt Bors wants no misunderstanding about our standing obligations to Mideast rebels. Outstanding efforts all.
