According to inside-the-Beltway prognosticators, the new congressional session will be rife with animated confrontation and graphic violence. Matt Wuerker’s newly arrived wrecking crew is ready to play big-time hardball. Nate Beeler fears the rookies will be chewed up and wolfed down. And Tom Toles’ fiscal firing squad foresees the unkindest cuts of all. Thankfully, in cartoons at least, even the demolished, the eaten alive and the shot-full-o-holes live to legislate another day.
