Do as the Romans did

August 15, 2008 | 12:02 pm

Roman Colosseum Fun As though Rome didn't have enough real things to see, here come plans for a Disney-style theme park, with the theme being -- Rome. This supposedly family-friendly park would have rides and attractions that are all about experiencing ancient Rome. Considering the subject, I can't help wondering exactly what those family rides and attractions would be?

"Family Gladiator Fights"?

"Lunch with the Lions"?

"Leader Assassination Pavilion"?

Other thoughts?

1.

I don't know about attractions, but I definitely think the food court should offer a vomitorium in addition to Caesar salads. And a Messalina's Orgy ride could definitely give the place an anti-Disney feel, which would appeal to French tourists.
