Arnold's best idea EVER.

February 28, 2008 |  4:32 pm

Arnoldtank_2When you're looking for creative ways to deal with failing schools and budget cuts ... bring in a tank! From the Sacramento Bee:

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has a new rewards program for schoolkids: Stay in school, take a tank for a spin.

The Republican governor is bringing home an Austrian army tank he loaned the Motts Military Museum in Columbus, Ohio, and he said Wednesday he plans to use it to drive around inner-city children who do well in school, say "no" to drugs and avoid gangs in the Los Angeles area.

Standing outside the Northwood Elementary School in North Sacramento, where he promoted his plan to assist 97 troubled school districts, Schwarzenegger said he plans to take kids for a ride one day a month.

Though the future looks bleak, I now have newfound hope for the Year of Education. And my little brother will be psyched.

1.

A real tank?

Life is beautiful.

2.

Only a great mind like Arnold's could conceive of such a fantastic idea as to have children ride around in a tank. What greater joy could anyone imagine? Maybe a pretend firing squad or fake hand grenade toss. I hope some day to shake Arnold's hand and kick the tires of his famous Hummer. Mach's besser Mein Lieber!

This is the most rediculous attempt at fueling our nations childrens dieing desire to complete school. Anyone who is a child psychologist should be having a fit. Anybody who has children in school who do not want their children indoctrinated into a war toy mentality as a reward for doing well in school should have a problem with this.

This is so problematic in so many ways.
