Occasional Opinion contributor and one-time Dust-upper Joseph Mailander took to the pages of the L.A. Daily News over the weekend to give his survey of L.A.’s local news/community/activism blogger scene, in what is almost certainly the only MSM story about blogs to contain anything like the following line:

‘Make rhizomes, not roots, never plant!’ Deleuze and Guattari admonished in ‘A Thousand Plateaus’ in 1987.

Indeed! Mailander also gives his list of a dozen noteworthy blogs, to which L.A. City Nerd adds a few of his/her own. Meanwhile, controversial local blogger (and former Dust-upper himself) Luke Ford gets his very own cover profile in the Jewish Journal.

Tired of hearing about the same old typers? Got a local blog you love to read? All suggestions welcome in the comments.
