Norah Jones, unlocked

Will pop-jazz songbird Norah Jones be a trailblazer for the music industry? EMI is releasing her new single as a downloadable track with no electronic locks, one of the first times music from a big-name artist on a major label has been available as an unprotected MP3. The problem with this experiment, though, is that it can't really tell the industry anything about the relationship between MP3 and piracy. For more, read this post at the Bit Player blog.
