I find it quite odd that our leaders in Congress is trying to ban a practice that is actually the preferred and proper way of disposing an American flag. For those of you who do not know, burning is the preferred and correct method of disposing "Old Glory."

In accordance with the US Flag Code, Title 4, Chapter 1, Section 8k: "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."
