Hey, just because people claim something was in the LA Times, even though it wasn't, well, that doesn't mean they don't know what they're talking about, does it? I mean, if someone you know forwards it to you in an e-mail, well then it must be true. You just have to watch for the ones from Nigeria...

I sure would like to believe that the only people who buy into this kind of thing are the same people who buy things via spam, but I know that's not the case.

They're projecting the old reverse credibility / we’re using their own words against them thingy with a straw man twist. ...look past all the pathetic... It's kinda brilliant.
