You know there are a lot of arguments as to why Prop 82 is a bad idea, but let me just throw this one out there from a former teacher's perpective:
PROP 82 IS A WAY TO PUT TEACHER'S UNIONS IN THE PRESCHOOL PROCESS.
Take a look at your local elementary schools, and if you REALLY want your 4 year old to have the same problems, then go ahead and vote for it.
The teachers unions are funding the advertising for this to the GILLS--because if it passes, they'll be acquiring all those "new" pre-school teachers as dues paying members. Every dollar they spend is going to come back into their pockets 100 fold in member dues.
NEVER VOTE FOR ANYTHING A TEACHER'S UNION ENDORSES; they never endorse anything that isn't going to put money in the pocket of the union as an entity and by extension, in the pockets of the union's hierarchy.
Your kid's teachers may care about them, but I assure you, the UNION considers kids a source of revenue, nothing more.
Is that how you want your 4 year old looked at?
