Free upgrade for Bit Player readers

As readers who actually go to www.latimes.com/bitplayer may already have noted, the roster of contributors to this blog is about to expand. (If you haven't noticed, look at the "Our Bloggers" section in the right rail.) Think of it as an attempt to inject some talent into the blog, as well as more subject-matter expertise. The new Bit Players are reporters and editors from the LATimes' business section, all of them steeped in the topic that I've been dabbling in this past year and a half. I'm not sure if they'll be rocking their own Meez icons, but they will be posting under their own names. At least, that's the plan. Expect some kinks to be worked out before your very eyes, starting very, very soon. And with some luck, the result will be a blog that delivers more and better info more often.
